  • Our new 2003-2004 School Directory is now available. Come to the office to pick up your personalized copy. Only one copy per family please.
  • Upcoming newss:

    • 1/17/04 Chinese New Year's Performance
Academic Activities:
  • Pao-Hsiu Cheng, who has been teaching Arts & Crafts, has taken on the added responsibilities of teaching the 4A Class. We thank her for her contributions to the school this year.
  • On 11/15/03, we conducted the school-wide Written Essay Contest for Grades 2 and higher. The results will be announced at our New Year's Celebration news. As was the case last year, the best performances in Written Essay and Public Speaking will be eligible for the OCA Chinese School Awards in June 2004.
  • For the third consecutive year, we have three Mamaroneck H.S. interns with us assigned to assist with a specific class. They are: Robert Friedman (2A), Alison Waks (2B), and Zachary Lapin (4A).
Cultural Activities:
  • On 11/15/03, Yung-Shou Do (a make-up and tattoo artist), led a participatory workshop on her craft. She was joined by a large group of parents who apparently looked better just being at Chinese School that morning.
  • On 11/22/03, we celebrated our 3rd Annual Pot Luck Lunch Party to recognize National Adoption Month at CSSW. Thanks to Laurie Rigelhaupt and Wendi Tandlich for organizing this news.
Parents' Association:
  • The PA, under the coordination of CSSW Director Christine Pang, is organizing a Parents Coffee Club from 9:30 - 10:30 to encourage interaction among parents and discuss matters of common interest. The Club will start in January 2004.
