From The Principal's Office:
- Registration forms and instructions for the 2003-2004 school year have been distributed and are due back by 5/17/03.

Academic Activities:
- The annual Public Speaking Contest for Grades 2 and above is scheduled for 4/12/03. The results and awards will be announced at our Year-End ceremonies scheduled for 6/14/03. In addition, the 13th Annual Greater New York Public Speaking Contest is scheduled for 4/19/03 in Flushing at the Chinese Cultural Center.
- The deadline for submission of all student materials for the 2003 Yearbook is 4/26/03. Materials should be delivered to your teachers or to the Principal’s Office. In addition, that is Photo Day and all students and teachers should plan to be in attendance for class photos.
- OCA-Westchester is sponsoring a pilot Awards Program for Local Chinese Schools. The program will award a cash prize / plaque to a winner from each school in the following three categories: 1) Public Speaking, 2) Written Essay and 3) Outstanding High School Student (junior or senior). Our school will be nominating students in each of these three categories.

Cultural Activities:
- Since 2/8/03, we have restored our 11:00 AM Dance Class under the supervision of our Kindergarten teacher Amanda Liao. All interested students are welcome to observe and participate.
- We are planning to send several performing groups to the Asian American Heritage Festival on 5/31/03 as well as set up a school table at the site. All CSSW families are encouraged to support our performers and to participate in the activities.

Parents' Association:
- The PA has scheduled the 1st Annual CSSW Tag Sale on 4/26/03 in the school courtyard (rain date is 5/17/03). See flyers for more details or contact PA Chair Laurie Rigelhaupt, Wendi Tandlich or Joyce Lim.
- The Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for 5/17/03 at 10:00 AM in the Parents Lounge. The PA is seeking officers and class parents for the upcoming school year.
